Devlog 7: Production Sprint 2 Week 1

Hello everyone!
Welcome to another update on Corporate Chaos. This week we went into the first week of the second production phase so we finished up some of the level design and added more props to the main level. We also reworked the main speeding circle so it now shows up as a bar instead of a circle.

Technical
- The speedMeter received a visual overhaul. We decided to change the circular design to a smaller bar design. This will make it more subtle and get less in the way of the view of the player, while still being visible enough for the player to use it properly. Three additions have been made to the environment. Firstly, a projector screen has been added, which players can run over to discover a new passage. Secondly, a ventilator can be found in the level which pushes the player in a general direction. The wind from the ventilator gives the player a significant speed boost, which is stronger the closer the player is to its source. (edited)
- Lastly, the conveyor belt which was made last week, is now incorporated in the level and can be used to travel from the beginning of the cafeteria, all the way to the end. A new week has arrived, and with it, there are new pickups. One new pickup has been added this week, and an update to an existing pickup has been made. Additionally, one new pickup is currently in production and will be included in next week's version. The new pickup for this week is a bouncing band that the player wears when picked up. This gives the player the ability to knock back other players when they run into them. When used wisely, this can be a very strong tool. The ball has also been revisited, and when thrown, it can now bounce up to five times off any surface, making it easier and more fun to use. However, be careful as players who threw the ball can also be stunned by it. We can also give a little sneak peek into next week's item. A drone will be added, which when used, will stun the player who is in first place, making this the most powerful item we have added yet. To add another fun element to the game, we started working on ragdoll effects for the npc’s which can be found all over the level. The npc’s will just mind their own business until one of the players decides to hit them, which will turn them into complete ragdolls. To make sure the level doesn’t become cluttered with ragdolls, they will go back to their original state once the players are out of view. This feature was not gameplay-necessary but makes the level feel more alive now that the npc’s can actually be interacted with. (edited)
